DMCA

Effective date: August 14, 2025

Zihit.com (“Zihit,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same of users, developers, and partners. This policy explains how to submit a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §512) takedown notice, how to file a counter-notification, and how we handle repeat infringement on our platform.

Important: This page is for reporting alleged copyright infringement only. It is not legal advice. If you are unsure about your rights or obligations, consult an attorney.

1) Scope & Definitions

  • User Content: Games, code, artwork, images, audio, videos, text, descriptions, screenshots, icons, and any other materials submitted to or displayed on Zihit.com.

  • Copyright Owner: The person or entity that owns exclusive rights to the content (or an authorized agent acting on their behalf).

  • Developer/Submitter: Any party that uploads or provides content or links for inclusion on Zihit.com.

Zihit hosts and/or indexes games and related media. Some content may be hosted by third parties and embedded or linked on Zihit. This policy covers both hosted and linked content displayed through our service.

2) How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on Zihit.com infringes your copyright, send a written DMCA notice to our Designated Agent with all of the following:

  1. Your signature (physical or electronic).

  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (a single work or a representative list for multiple works).

  3. Identification of the infringing material to be removed or disabled, including specific URLs on Zihit.com where the material appears (one URL per line is helpful).

  4. Contact information for you: full name, organization (if any), mailing address, telephone, and email.

  5. A good-faith statement:

“I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”

  6. An accuracy/authority statement:

“The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”

Send your notice to our Designated Agent:

Name: Zihit DMCA Agent
Email: dmca@zihit.com
Postal Mail: Zihit DMCA Agent, [Insert Full Mailing Address]
Telephone (optional): [Insert Phone Number]

Incomplete notices may be rejected. We may share your notice (including your contact info) with the submitter or publicly if required by law.

3) What Happens After We Receive a Proper Notice

  • We will review your notice for completeness and may remove or disable access to the reported material.

  • Where feasible, we will notify the submitter of the removal and provide a copy of the notice.

  • For linked/embedded content hosted elsewhere, we may remove links/embeds and may provide information about the host so you can request removal at the source.

4) How to File a Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notificationto our Designated Agent containing:

  1. Your signature (physical or electronic).

  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (URL)before removal.

  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.

  4. Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone, and email.

  5. A consent statement (required by the DMCA if you are in the U.S.):

“I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located (or if outside the United States, I consent to jurisdiction in any judicial district where Zihit may be found), and I will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person.”

Send the counter-notification to the same Designated Agent listed above.

Restoration: If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material unless the original complainant informs us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.

5) Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA, Zihit terminates or restricts access for repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Because Zihit does not require accounts to submit content, we may implement technical and administrative measures, including but not limited to:

  • Blocking further submissions tied to specific names, email addresses, domains, payment identifiers, IP ranges, and/or fingerprints.

  • Removing all works submitted by the same party.

  • Declining future requests for hosting or featuring.

We may also remove content that repeatedly triggers valid takedown notices, even if submitted by different parties.

6) Misrepresentations (17 U.S.C. §512(f))

Knowingly submitting false claims or counter-notifications may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Submit DMCA materials only if you have a good-faith belief regarding the rights asserted.

7) Non-U.S. Rights & Other Complaints

If your complaint is not about U.S. copyright law (e.g., trademark, privacy, defamation, or other IP regimes), or you are outside the U.S., you may still contact dmca@zihit.com with details. We will review under our policies and applicable law and may request additional documentation.
